The Cameroon Hemodialysis Circle in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Services and the Ministry of a Public Health have organised a two-day campaign to sensitize Cameroonians on how to manage chronic kidney diseases.
The campaign is under the theme “How are your Kidneys? Early detection protects your health”
The campaign which kick started in Yaounde this July 30th will end on July 31st, 2025
The President of the Cameroom Hemodialysis Circle, Njoya Isaac explained that the objective if the campaign is to raise public awareness on the management of kidney disease.
“It is our responsibility to help those who are not in good health. If someone is not yet at a chronic level, there is still hope for treatment” Njoya highlighted.
As inhabitants flood the screening site, healthcare professionals guide them through the screening process.

Some beneficiaries of the campaign say it an underestimated gift considering the cost of screening in the hospital.
“I have benefitted from this campaign, given that the test is usually expensive, it will permit us to know the state of our kidneys” Rodolphe Deutchua said.
On the other hand, Paulin Mendouma another beneficiary of the campaign expressed satisfaction with the quality of service offered.
“I was satisfied with the warm welcome I received. It wasn’t as painful as I had anticipated so I encourage those that are still behind to come and do their own test” he encouraged.
This second edition of the campaign will enable Cameroonians understand the causes, symptoms and risk reduction of kidney diseases.
