FECAMUSIC Rallies Support For AFRIMA-Nominated Cameroonian Artistes

The Musical Art Pole (FECAMUSIC) has urged Cameroonians to step up support for their countrymen nominated at this year’s All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA. Days ago, eight Cameroonian artistes were nominated for the prestigious award. They include:

Asaba for Best Female Artiste, Central Africa

Blanche Bailly for Best female artiste, Central Africa

Franck Biyong for Best African Artistes, Duo or Group in African Soul and RnB and Duo or Group in African Jazz

Ridimz for Best African Band, Duo or Group

Strong Bangwa Boy, Tzy Panchak, Longue Longue, Kameni, Puzo, Hardfire, Nyango for Best African Artistes, Duo or group in African Traditional

Tayc for Best Male in Central Africa, Best African Artiste, Duo or Group in African RnB and Soul; Best African Music Video

Tenor for Best Male in Central Africa, Best artiste, Duo or Gourpin African Pop, Best DJ Artiste

Vernyuy Tina for Best Female in Central Africa

Congratulating the artistes, FECAMUSIC National Coordinator, Nde Ndifonka said the nominations are “…. A testament to their hard work and professionalism in a highly competitive field, as well as proof of the impact and relevance of Cameroonian music internationally.”

FECAMUSIC will work with the AFRIMA team to prepare the Cameroonian nominees for the awards and to foster their experience at the event…” Nde Ndifonka promised.

He further urged the Cameroonian public to vote relentlessly for the nominees, to ensure they emerge victorious. “We equally encourage corporate bodies, media and supporters of Cameroonian music to join FECAMUSIC in the production and rebroadcast of content to promote voting”.

This year’s AFRIMA, organisers note, attracted over 9,000 entries from across the continent. The award ceremony is scheduled to run from December 8 to 11, 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria.
