Dibango To BKS: The Passion Lives On

Vocalist, James BKS is set to release the first part of his studio album, Wolves Of Africa on July 8th, 2022. The first many Cameroonians had of him first-hand was during the Africa Cup of Nations closing ceremony in February 2022.

BKS featured in the grandiose ceremony, sharing the stage with Stanley Enow, and Daphne.

While to many Cameroonians that was the first time witnessing BKS in a live performance, it was to the singer, just another step in the ladder to greatness, a path he is all too familiar with. He had been gracing stages in Europe and other parts of the globe.

BKS was born in Paris in 1982 to legendary Makossa artist, Manu Dibango. Much like his father, BKS grew with music and sound around him. He witnessed his father export Cameroon music, making France, Europe and the globe dance.

The album announcement comes shortly after the release of BKS’ single, Pana Njia, featuring Gracy Hopkins.
